DESCRIPTION:On October 21st at 4:00PM (PST) the Surfrider San Mateo chapter will be hosting a virtual discussion about diversity\, equality\, and inclusion in the surf community with Black Girls Surf and Queer Surf. Come along with us to the shores of Dakar\, Sengal as we watch professional surfer Khadjou Sambe defy traditional roles through the love of surfing in the short documentary film\, Emerger. Learn how local Bay Area organization\, Queer Surf equips queers\, women\, GNC\, trans\, lesbian\, gay\, and non-binary people with tools and knowledge to safely enjoy the ocean. Although these organizations individually have their own mission and cause\, they each have an important message in common; to bring diversity\, equality and inclusion to the surf community.
